Sharon: Documentary Video Creator + Founder of Working Wonders Media

Documentary-style storytelling for creative entrepreneurs, small businesses, and purpose-driven brands.

Why Story Matters More Than Content

I believe that story is the foundation of meaningful connection.

We’re not here to chase trends, post constantly, or optimize every caption for a 10-second scroll. We’re here to communicate the essence of your work — in a way that feels honest, grounded, and timeless.

When your marketing is driven by story instead of fear, you stop creating noise and start creating signal.

My Journey into Documentary Storytelling

I’ve spent nearly two decades behind the camera telling stories for people, places, and brands in ways that feel real and alive.

Along the way I’ve created videos for major cultural platforms like TODAY, BuzzFeed, Conde Nast, Hearst and NBC. That work taught me one thing:

Audience attention is earned, not bought.
And the stories worth watching are the ones rooted in truth, not tactics.

Why This Work Matters to Me (and Should to You)

There was a point in my own creative journey when I felt the pull between making video for clients and making video about what matters. I realized that the pieces that lasted — the ones that kept being shared, referred, downloaded, and returned to — were always the ones with heart, depth, and authenticity.

That’s when I leaned fully into documentary-style storytelling and built Working Wonders Media around it.

This work matters because:

  • It helps real humans see themselves in your story

  • It creates content that doesn’t expire

  • It builds trust without chasing algorithms

  • It supports your business quietly and over time

This isn’t content for content’s sake — it’s connection with purpose.

My Philosophy (How I Work)

1. Presence Over Performance

Documentary storytelling isn’t about “being on.” It’s about being real. What you do deserves more than a script — it deserves space to breathe.

2. Story First, Trend Second

I don’t follow trends; I follow people. Your audience will respond to what feels true, not what’s popular.

3. Easeful Process

From first call to final delivery, the process is calm, intentional, and grounded. I guide you through what to say, how to show up, and how to feel supported every step of the way.

A Bit More About Me :)

I’m a creative at heart — curious, intuitive, and deeply interested in how stories shape the world. I’m based between Santa Fe and the Hudson Valley (depending on the season), and I gravitate toward…

  • Slow mornings with coffee and a notebook and my cat

  • Easy hikes with a friend and good conversation

  • Murder Mysteries and Magical Realism books and TV

  • Conversations that feel like portals, ah-ha moments (honestly anything but small talk)

I show up in this work not because it’s the easiest path, but because it feels like purpose — and it connects with other parts of my life where I do wellness, healing work and art.

When We Work Together

Working together starts with a conversation — a free Visioning Session where we talk through your story, your work, and where video could support you. From there, we shape a narrative that’s true to your voice, not a marketing script.

Stories aren’t found in bullet points — they’re felt. And that’s where the best videos begin.

Still Curious? A Few Things People Ask

What does “documentary-style” really mean?

It means honoring what’s real. No forced scripting. No jump cuts to trendy beats. Just human presence, intention, and clarity.

What makes your approach different?

I treat every project like a collaboration. We uncover meaning together — you bring the work, and I help uncover the story.

3. Easeful Process

Most people do at first. But presence isn’t pressure — it’s support, guidance, and preparation.
